Membership

Of course, we always welcome new members. You do not have to be able to read music (but it's obviously useful if you can); there is no audition to join, and we welcome enthusiastic singers of all ages and experience. Our aim always is to have fun and enjoy ourselves whilst working hard at learning and performing music. If you can sing in tune and would like the opportunity to sing more, come along and join us at our rehearsal nights. We meet at John Masefield School, Ledbury, during term time, 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings. It would be great to see you there. Our next rehearsal is on Tuesday 14th September.

If you would like any further information or someone to come along with, please do not hesitate to call any of the Committee Members, who will be delighted to talk to you. You can also contact us by email.

Social

The choir has a strong social side too. Outside our usual Tuesday rehearsals, we have organised barn dances, summer garden parties, table top sales, entry into the town carnival, and more. Two favourite events always on our calendar are our annual dinner, and our annual quiz night. Some of these events, such as the quiz, help to raise funds to buy essential music

Clavinova

We have recently been awarded a grant by the Elmley Foundation to purchase a Clavinova. A condition of the grant is that the instrument should be available for other community groups. For bookings, please phone 01531 630042

Choir exchanges

As an extension of our social events we have organised exchanges with two choirs abroad. In 2005 and 2006, the exchange was with a Swedish Choir, "Arter o Flask", from near Ledbury's twin town of Stromstad. In January 2008 we visited the "Chornelimuenster" Choir from near Aachen and they repaid the vist in October that year.
